This is up from ~8% of the workforce working remotely in late 2019 (though everyone who could went remote due to COVID in early 2020, it was not part of their initial plan)

Dominos keep falling. Today Zillow announced that ~90% of its 5400 employees will have permanent flexibility to stick with remote work or come into the office (or a mix)

While this announcement may not have had the warm fuzzies of Slack or the power-baller statement of Shopify, I like how practical it was. The CEO talks about how the company is getting work done *right now, remotely* and so that will continue. It's that kind of lets-just-do-the-thing mindset that I love in business

Update: Fujitsu Global has just announced all 80,000 of its employees will be remote-first.

Calling the move a "work life shift," the company said: [it's] not only a concept of "work," but represents a comprehensive initiative to realize employee well-being by shifting preexisting notions of "life" and "work" through digital innovation.
